NORCET 11 Document Verification and Medical Exam Checklist
The full document list, the mismatches that cost people seats, and what to fix before the dates are announced.

Document verification and the medical examination are the last gates between a NORCET 11 selection and an actual appointment. They are also where avoidable mistakes cost people seats.
AIIMS publishes the binding document list in its own notice. This page sets out what the selection process has required in previous cycles, so you can have everything ready before the dates are announced rather than scrambling afterwards.

NORCET 11 Document Verification at a Glance
- When: after seat allotment, which follows choice filling from 30 October to 6 November 2026
- Who: candidates allotted an institute from the 10,613 qualified
- Core documents: matriculation certificate for date of birth, nursing qualification certificates, state nursing council registration, category certificate, photo ID
- Most common cause of rejection: a name, date of birth or category mismatch across documents
When Does NORCET 11 Document Verification Happen?
The NORCET selection sequence runs: Prelims, Mains, result and merit list, choice filling and seat allotment, document verification, medical examination, then joining.
One honest caveat. Reporting differs on whether verification happens before or after seat allotment, and it has not always been identical between cycles. Treat the AIIMS notice for NORCET 11 as the only authority on sequence and dates. What does not change is the document list, which is why preparing it now is the useful move.
What Documents Are Required for NORCET 11 Verification?
Keep originals plus a set of self-attested photocopies of each:
Identity and education
- NORCET 11 admit card and the Mains scorecard
- Class 10 certificate and marksheet, as date of birth proof
- Class 12 certificate and marksheet
- B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing or GNM certificate with all year or semester marksheets
- Degree or provisional certificate from your university
- Photo identity proof: Aadhaar, PAN, passport or driving licence
- Recent passport size photographs matching those used in your application
Professional registration
- Nursing council registration certificate, current and valid. This is the one candidates most often discover has expired.
Category and special provisions
- Category certificate in the prescribed central government format for OBC, SC, ST or EWS
- OBC non-creamy layer certificate, issued within the validity window AIIMS specifies
- PwBD certificate where applicable
Employment
- Experience certificates where your post or eligibility route requires them
- No Objection Certificate if you currently work in a government organisation
What Happens in the NORCET Medical Examination?
The NORCET selection process includes a medical fitness examination. Appointment is subject to being found medically fit.
Specifics on where it is conducted, which tests are included and what standards apply come from the AIIMS notice for your allotted institute. Do not rely on another candidate's experience from a previous cycle.
Name, Date of Birth and Category Mismatches
This is the single biggest cause of avoidable trouble at verification.
| Problem | Why it matters | Fix it before verification |
|---|---|---|
| Name spelled differently across certificates and Aadhaar | Documents must establish they describe the same person | Affidavit, or formal correction with the issuing authority |
| Date of birth differs between Class 10 and other documents | Class 10 is normally the authority for DOB | Correct the mismatched document, not the Class 10 record |
| Category certificate in state format | Central government format is specified for central posts | Apply for the correct format early, it takes time |
| OBC non-creamy layer certificate out of date | Validity windows are strict | Reissue before verification |
| Maiden name on certificates after marriage | Continuity of identity must be documented | Carry the marriage certificate and a gazette notification where applicable |
Every one of these takes days or weeks to resolve through an issuing authority. None of them can be resolved on the morning of verification.
Dates and Venue
Dates, venue and mode are announced in the AIIMS notice and, where relevant, by your allotted institute. They are not fixed in advance and they vary by institute.
Watch aiimsexams.ac.in under Notices and the NORCET-11 recruitment section. Our NORCET 11 result page tracks announcements as they appear.
What Can Get You Rejected at NORCET Document Verification?
- A claim made in the application that the documents do not support, for example a category or experience claim
- Missing nursing council registration, or registration that has lapsed
- Category certificate in the wrong format or outside its validity period
- Unresolved identity mismatches across documents
- Failing to appear on the scheduled date without the process permitted by the notice
- Not being found medically fit
The pattern is consistent: verification checks that what you claimed matches what you can prove. Anything claimed in the application that cannot be evidenced is the risk.
