GUIDE
How to choose the right NPrep nursing course
NPrep courses fall into two groups: year plans that follow your college syllabus, and exam courses for NORCET and other government nursing jobs. Which one you need depends on your program and how far along you are.
Match the course to your stage
| Where you are | What to take | Why |
|---|---|---|
| B.Sc Nursing, 1st to 4th year | The plan for your year | Follows the INC semester syllabus you are examined on |
| GNM, 1st to 3rd year | The GNM plan for your year | Covers the GNM papers for that year |
| Final year or internship | 3rd + 4th Year Plan or 4th Year Plan | Finishes college and moves into full NORCET prep |
| Passed out (B.Sc, GNM, Post Basic) | GOLD Batch or Rapid Revision 2.0 | Built for NORCET and other government exams |
| Planning an M.Sc | M.Sc Nursing Entrance | Prepares you for postgraduate entrance exams |
Not sure where you fit? Your semester number decides it: semesters 1–2 are 1st year, 3–4 are 2nd year, 5–6 are 3rd year and 7–8 are 4th year.
Year plans: pass college exams and build NORCET basics
Each year plan covers both semesters of that year with video lectures, a question bank with rationale for every answer, and clinical cases. Higher-year plans also revise earlier years, because topics like anatomy, pharmacology and medical-surgical nursing come back in every government exam.
- B.Sc Nursing: 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year plans, plus a 3rd + 4th Year Plan
- GNM Nursing: 1st, 2nd and 3rd year plans
- Access on the NPrep app and on the web
Exam courses: NORCET and government nursing jobs
Once you have graduated, the goal changes from passing papers to ranking in a competitive exam. NPrep's exam courses cover AIIMS NORCET, RRB Nursing Superintendent, ESIC, DSSSB and CHO recruitments.
Which exam course fits
- GOLD Batch: a structured batch for students with several months before the exam
- Rapid Revision 2.0: a short course for the final months
- Question Bank and Test Series: practice and mock tests if you are studying on your own
Who can apply for NORCET
AIIMS NORCET accepts B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing graduates who are registered with a State or Indian Nursing Council. GNM diploma holders can apply after two years of experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds. Always check the latest notification before applying.
