NORCET Mains 2026 Most Expected Questions (Subject-wise Predictions)

The AIIMS NORCET 10 Mains exam, scheduled for 30 April 2026, is the decisive stage that determines your final rank across 28 AIIMS and central government institutions. Unlike the Prelims, the Mains is exclusively clinical - 160 nursing questions with no General Knowledge buffer. Every mark counts.

This guide distils months of subject-wise analysis into one focused resource. Whether you cleared the NORCET 10 Prelims with a comfortable margin or just scraped through, what matters now is laser-targeted revision. Below, you'll find the most expected question areas for each subject in the NORCET 10 Mains 2026, backed by previous year papers, exam analysis from the Stage I exam held on 11 April 2026, and expert-curated topic predictions.

NORCET 10 Mains Exam Snapshot

Before diving into predicted questions, understand the structure of the NORCET 10 Mains. All 160 questions are from nursing subjects only - there is no General Knowledge or Aptitude component in the Mains. The entire exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) spanning 180 minutes, with four sections tested under sectional timing. One-third mark is deducted per wrong answer, so accuracy beats volume.

Section-wise Distribution

SectionSubject GroupApprox Questions
Section 1Medical-Surgical Nursing40–50
Section 2Community Health, OBG & Pediatrics40–45
Section 3Pharmacology, Anatomy & Physiology35–40
Section 4Fundamentals, Psychiatric, Research25–35

Sectional Timing Alert

NORCET 10 Mains uses section-wise time locking. Once a section's timer ends, you cannot revisit those questions. Practice timed mock tests with this constraint before exam day.
